Update: week of October 23-27

Spelling- we are switching to week 25 for our studies this week because these are weather words which go along with the current science unit. The packet this week is due on Wednesday and the test is Thursday because we do not have school on Friday. English- we are continuing our research of nouns! There will be lots of good practice and skill application throughout the week to help master these grammar skills. Social studies- we are continuing our research of Egypt and the Nile River Valley civilizations. Remember that the work we do in class and on Google classroom is to develop a greater understanding of the information in the unit. These things are not meant to be used as a study guide. I always send home a study guide at least a week in advance if all things that will be on a test. We just started this new unit so it will be awhile before we have another test.

We have had a good first quarter! The quarter ended last Friday. Tomorrow, Friday, October 20th report cards will be sent home. Along with those, there will be a form to sign up for parent teacher conferences with the youngest student in the family. Please be sure to get those turned in on Monday if you would like to have a conference. Below, I have included some pictures from some fun from 1st quarter! Looking forward to helping each child continue to grow and learn as we continue through this year!
