HLP: Wednesday, May 6, 2020

Today's Assignments:

Reading/ Science- (on paper packet)- Read the packet "The Power of Magnets" and complete the comprehension questions by the end of the night THURSDAY night. Please take a picture of your answer pages and have your parents email them to me. Don't forget to do all of the questions, including the short answer.

English/ Social Studies- (on Google Classroom)- If you have not turned in your Famous Missourian picture, please do so by 12:00 (noon) TODAY! We are making a powerpoint of all of the fourth graders who dress up as their famous Missourian. You will get 5 bonus points on your final paper if you dress up and send me pictures for the powerpoint. It is optional and only worth 5 extra credit points... you will not lose points if you choose not to dress up.

Religion- (on Google Classroom)- Read Family Life Chapter 8 and complete the chapter 8 questions by the end of the night THURSDAY night.

Math- (on Google Classroom)- Watch the Volume, Edges, and Faces of 3D Shapes- Video Lesson then, complete the practice by the end of the night tonight. *Also, continue to work on xtramath or flash cards daily.

 We have had lots of fun getting to know our classmates and are beginning to dive into our curriculum! Today we became “surgeons” to determine whether the “bones” (sentences) were broken or complete and discussed with our teams how we could fix the broken bones to make them complete! It was a good time! Enjoy the pictures below and have a great weekend!  I also added a couple pictures I snapped at recess and then one of the 4th graders having their safety talk with Mr. Veit! We go over drop off and dismissal procedures each year to remind students how to be safe on the big flat.

Welcome to 4th Grade!

Welcome to 4th Grade! I am thrilled to have you in my class this year! Please take some time to read through the syllabus and familiarize yourself with our class blog. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me. I will post assignments daily so you can check here if you are unsure of any assignments. I will also occasionally post some pictures from class activities or reminders about upcoming events. I look forward to meeting everyone at open house on Monday, August 12th from 4:30-6:30 pm.
