HLP- Wednesday, April 29, 2020

Today's Assignments:

Reading/ Science- (on paper packet)- Read the packet "Our Solar System" and complete the comprehension questions by the end of the night Thursday night. Please take a picture of your answer pages and have your parents email them to me. Don't forget to do all 12!

English/ Social Studies- (on Google Classroom)- Work on Part 3: This is where you will take your research that you turned into sentences during your rough draft, and now create your own document following the directions in the "Google Suites Directions" page under the classwork tab in our Google Classroom. You will type the paper with your Title in the top center, followed by your name (the author) below that. Then you will begin typing your paper into paragraphs... hint: you will have 3 paragraphs. Be sure to give your file a name using the directions before turning it in to Google Classroom. This is due: Friday, May 1st.

Religion- (on Google Classroom)- Read Family Life Chapter 6 and complete the chapter 6 questions by the end of the night Thursday night.

Math- (on Google Classroom)- Watch the Adding and Subtracting Fractions with like Denominators- Video Lessons then, complete the practice by the end of the night tonight. *Also, continue to work on xtramath or flash cards daily.

 We have had lots of fun getting to know our classmates and are beginning to dive into our curriculum! Today we became “surgeons” to determine whether the “bones” (sentences) were broken or complete and discussed with our teams how we could fix the broken bones to make them complete! It was a good time! Enjoy the pictures below and have a great weekend!  I also added a couple pictures I snapped at recess and then one of the 4th graders having their safety talk with Mr. Veit! We go over drop off and dismissal procedures each year to remind students how to be safe on the big flat.

Welcome to 4th Grade!

Welcome to 4th Grade! I am thrilled to have you in my class this year! Please take some time to read through the syllabus and familiarize yourself with our class blog. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me. I will post assignments daily so you can check here if you are unsure of any assignments. I will also occasionally post some pictures from class activities or reminders about upcoming events. I look forward to meeting everyone at open house on Monday, August 12th from 4:30-6:30 pm.
